Ilya Sherbovich has worked in the Russian capital markets since 1992 when he began his career with the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
From 1995 until joining UCP in September 2007, Ilya was President of the Russian investment bank United Financial Group (UFG), acquired by Deutsche Bank in 2006.
Since June 2012, Ilya has served on the board of several major Russian companies: Rosneft, the largest Russian oil company; Transneft, the monopoly Russian oil transportation company; and FGC UES, Russia`s monopoly electricity transmission business. Since August 2011, Ilya has also been a member of the Board of directors of Uralmash Oil and Gas Equipment Holding, a leading Russian drilling rigs manufacturer. In 2000-2001 he served as a Board member of Sberbank, Russia’s largest commercial banking institution.
From 1994 to 1995 Ilya also served on the Capital Markets Surveillance Unit of the Russian Federal Commission on Capital Markets.
Ilya Sherbovich is a graduate of the Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics.
From 2003 to 2008 Victoria Lazareva was a Managing Director at the Moscow office of Deutsche Bank (prior to 2006 – United Financial Group) where she was in charge of the corporate finance practice focused on Retail, Consumer Goods, Healthcare, and Real Estate sectors.
Victoria currently serves on the Board of Directors of Fashion Continent (since 2008) and also acted as an Independent Director of Seventh Continent (2010-2011) and Monocrystal (2010-2011).
In 1997-2003, Victoria worked in various positions at Deutsche Bank`s Corporate Finance Group in London. She started her career as an Associate with Cambridge Partners L.L.C in New York.
Victoria holds an Executive MBA from Stanford University and a degree in Chemistry from the Popov Chemical Institute in St Petersburg.
Prior to joining UCP in 2006, Alexander managed the international and domestic equity sales and trading operations at United Financial Group (1995-2006)
Prior to joining the UFG team, Alexander worked in the Audit Department of Price Waterhouse in Germany.
Alexander graduated from the State Finance Academy of Russia in 1993.
Prior to joining UCP in 2010, Yuri Kachuro was a Counsel (2006) and subsequently a Partner (2007-2010) in the Russian branch of Clifford Chance focusing on M&A, IPO and private equity transactions.
From 2004 to 2006 Yuri practiced as a lawyer with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Moscow and from 1998 to 2004 as a lawyer with Sullivan & Cromwell in New York.
Yuri Kachuro began his career in 1995 as an Analyst with Fidelity Investments in New York.
Yuri holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Pace University in New York and a Juris Doctor degree from the Fordham University School of Law in New York.
From 2009 until joining UCP in July 2011, Mikhail Trofimov headed the investment banking division of ATON, a major Russian broker & investment advisory firm.
From 2000 to 2009, Mikhail worked in various positions in the investment banking department of Deutsche Bank and United Financial Group (UFG), serving as Managing Director from 2005 to 2009.
From 1997 until 2000, Mikhail was employed by PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Senior Consultant in Corporate Financial Advisory. He also has experience at KPM Investment Management in the USA.
Mikhail holds an MBA degree from Creighton University, USA.
